Privacy
Last updated October 12, 2026. DateTrainer is made by StereoVoid.
DateTrainer has no accounts and no advertising trackers. Here is everything that leaves your device, and why.
Your game stays on your device
Your progress, the emails you write to characters, and your settings are saved in your browser's local storage. We can't see them. Clearing your browser data deletes them; “Keep a copy of your game” in the Notebook saves a backup file.
Feedback reports you choose to send
When you press Feedback and send a report, we receive:
- your note and its category;
- your game progress, so we can load exactly where you were;
- the page you were on, your screen size, your browser's user-agent string, and the game version;
- any recent error messages from the game.
The subjects and text of emails you've written in the game are replaced with "[not shared]" unless you tick the box to include them. We don't store your IP address; we keep a one-way hash of it only to limit spam.
Error reports
If the game hits an error, it sends us the error message, the page, your browser's user-agent string and the game version, with the same hashed address. Nothing you've written is included.
Mailing-list sign-ups
If you gave us your email address for game news, we keep it, along with where you signed up and your browser's user-agent string, to tell you about DateTrainer. We don't sell or share it.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the game and stores the reports above.
- Google Fonts serves the game's two pixel fonts, so your browser contacts Google when the game loads.
Keeping and deleting
We keep reports while we're developing the game, and mailing-list addresses until you ask us to remove them. To see or delete anything we hold about you, email privacy@stereovoid.com. Tell us the report number or email address involved.
